TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh said he was pursuing Crescent case and will send the necessary documents to the court investigating the issue.
Zanganeh went to the parliament on Tuesday for the second time since he won a vote of confidence in August to attend an Energy Commission session dealing major oil ministry issues, specially the case with the Crescent Contract.
At the end of the session, Hossein Amiri Khamkani, a lawmaker attending the session quoted Zanaganeh as saying the in the Crescent case, we are pursuing transparency.
He added that members of the Energy Commission were generally satisfied with the explanations offered by Zanganeh during the session.
Amir Abbas Soltani, another member of Energy Commission, noted that Zanganeh had said that national interests of the country would be taken into account in Crescent case due to its sensitivity, without giving further details.
The MP added that Zanganeh had denied any involvement in the case and insisted that the related persons and likely violators should be persecuted.
"During the parliament debates on giving vote of confidence in summer, Zanganeh said he would offer more explanations pertaining to Crescent Contract to parliament in the future," if necessary.
