Tehran, Nov 27, IRNA Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani stressed here Wednesday that the nuclear negotiations team should strive to maintain the structure of Iran?s peaceful nuclear technology.
Larijani made the remarks at the open session of Majlis this morning which was also attended by Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.
Zarif was present in Majlis today to brief the parliamentarians on the Geneva nuclear talks that brought about a nuclear deal between Iran and the group of sextet.
The Majlis speaker appreciated the efforts by Zarif and his team during the intensive negotiations in the Swiss city.
He further wished success for foreign minister, Irans top nuclear negotiator, and other members of the team.
Larijani said Iran as a member of the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) is entitled to enjoy any rights mentioned in the document.
He stressed that Iran is committed to follow the NPT regulations.
The next step, he said, is that the West should lift sanctions against the country, and Iran should support its negotiating team.
