Sanctions on Iran to increase without proper talks, US
By AGI

(AGI) Rome - David Cohen, US Treasury , said "the international community will increase the pressure on Tehran until the Iranian leaders undertake to start serious talks" over the nuclear programme. He said so speaking to the reporters at the US embassy in Rome. Commenting the recent troubles sparked in iran by the strong depreciation of the local currency, Cohen pointed out that the sanctions have "affected Iran's oil-selling capacity", making it more difficult to purchase the components required for the nucleare programme. "The impact on the Iranian people is the result of the choices made by the Iranian government", he added.
