Shiraz, Fars province, Nov 12, IRNA Fars province and a Ukranian company signed a memorandum of understanding to start economic cooperation.
On the sidelines of the signing ceremony in Shiraz on Tuesday, Governor General of Fars province, Mohammad Ahmadi told IRNA that Ukraine investment in Fars, presence of oil, gas, and petrochemical companies of the province in Ukraine and bilateral cooperation for implementation of some economic projects in both countries were among issues under discussion.
Railway projects which join Fars to neighbouring provinces, and development projectsof Shiraz Airport are among the plans on which the Ukranian company wants to invest.
Fars is one of the biggest provinces of Iran with about 5 million population and land area of 130,000 sq. km.
