Tehran, Oct 31, IRNA Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has stressed the need for making further cultural and scientific work on the issue of aging population.
The Supreme Leader made the remarks in a message read to a national gathering on demographical change and its role on social developments which began in the holy city of Qom, about 200 km south of capital Tehran, on Thursday.

Referring to the importance of the aging population problem in the world countries, including Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei urged the Iranian scientists and elites to find a solution to the problem.

Stressing the need to increase the population, the Supreme Leader said, Having a young generation is an essential and determining issue for the country.

He added countries with the problem of aging population would face with difficulties in finding solutions for its consequent problems.
