Beijing, Oct 31, IRNA � Iranian Majlis (parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani embarked on a visit to Shanghai in continuation of his official visit to China.

Larijani will visit several economic, trade and development projects in Shanghai.


Larijani has been invited by his Chinese counterpart to visit Beijing and Shanghai.

Larijani, heading a high ranking parliamentary delegation, arrived in Beijing on Tuesday.

Upon arrival at Beijing international airport, Larijani was warmly welcomed by the top Chinese officials and Iran?s Ambassador to China Mehdi Safari.

Larijanis visit is taking place at an official invitation of Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People?s Congress of China Zhan De Jiang.

Addressing a gathering in Beijing University on Tuesday, the Iranian top parliamentarian said that the two capitals could play an influential role in resolving the ongoing crisis in Syria as well as other world crises.
