Dubai Christies will auction a collection of works by Iranian artists during its Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art sale.
The seasonal sale is to offer 40 artworks created by 36 Iranian artists
at different sections including part I, Part II and Part III that will be held at Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel in Dubai.
Leading modern and contemporary Middle Eastern and Turkish artists presented their works at this seasonal auction.
Paintings, calligraphy works, sculptures and photos by Hossein Zenderoudi, Parvaneh Etemadi, Farhad Moshiri, Faramarz Pilaram, Abbas Kiarostami, Afshin Pirhashemi and Ali Shirazi are among the works to go under the hammer during the auction.
Other highlights including the works by Iranian and Turkish masters will also be presented at the auction.
Irans Parviz Tanavolis a six foot tall sculpture titled Oh Persepolis II will be displayed on October 29.
Tanavolis The Wall (Oh Persepolis I) was offered in the 2008 Christies which fetched the highest record price for the artist when it was sold for $2.8 million.
Turkish-Jordanian artist Fahr El-Nissa Zeids masterpiece titled Splitting the Atom and Vegetal Life is estimated to fetch the highest bid ($3-4 million) at the auction of this season.
Acclaimed Iranian artist Farhad Moshiris seminal pieceThe Secret Gardenfetched an above-estimated price at the previous edition of Christie's auction in Dubai that was held in April.
Christies Part III Middle Eastern Art sale which is only for online bidding kicked off on October 24 and will run until November11, 2013.
Christies auction of Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art is to take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 29 and 30.
