Islamabad, Oct 22, IRNA � A former Pakistani minister marched in the capital Islamabad on the eve of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif�s meeting with President Barack Obama urging an end to the US drone strikes.
Both leaders are scheduled to meet at the White House on Wednesday while Sharif said he would raise the issue of the US drone strikes in the country�s tribal regions.

Former Pakistani federal minister,�Julius Salik,�alone marched towards the parliament building while bare-foot as a protest against the American drone attacks in the Pakistani tribal regions.

Salik, also the Convener of the World Minorities Alliance, dressed in black suit as sign of protest and to mourn the death of civilians in the US drone strikes.

He told reporters the march is aimed at inviting UN secretary-general, Pope and Bishop of Canterbury to help stop the drone attacks.

During his three-hour protest, Salik was carrying a poster inscribed with the slogan, �Obama, stop drone attacks�. The poster had photos of President Obama and PM Sharif.
