Tehran, Oct 21, IRNA A senior lawmaker said the Iranian negotiating team and the group of sextet were relatively satisfied with the recent nuclear talks in Geneva, urging the two sides to take the opportunity to settle the existing nuclear dispute.
Kazem Jalali, Head of the Majlis Research Center, made the remarks in a meeting with visiting President of the Socialists in the European Parliament Hannes Swoboda.
Jalali stressed continuation of negotiations between Iran and Group 5+1- the US, Britain, France, Russia and China plus Germany.
Referring to the June 14 presidential election in Iran, the MP said the new atmosphere which has been created since inauguration of the new Iranian government will help promote relations with the European states.
Jalali said the European Parliament can play a leading role in expansion of bilateral cooperation in cultural, economic and political fields.
For his part, Swoboda said boost in mutual ties can help recognize the realities in Iran.
He stressed that the European companies are interested in cooperating with the Iranian side.
Expansion of political relations will bolster bilateral trade exchanges, he said, adding that the Socialists in the European Parliament support strengthening of ties with Iran.
