Spokesman for Irans Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Seyyed Hossein Naqavi-Hosseini[/caption]An Iranian lawmaker says Tehran and the six world powers with whom it is involved in nuclear talks should maintain regular contact to thwart the Israeli plots against the diplomatic efforts.
The Zionists are enraged and upset at the Islamic Republic of Irans diplomatic dynamism to resolve the nuclear issue, and seek to keep the negotiations from reaching a logical and rational conclusion , said Spokesman for the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of Irans Majlis Seyyed Hossein Naghavi Hosseini on Sunday.
He said regular contact between Iran and the five permanent members of the Security Council plus Germany will not allow Israel to feed the six world powers false information.
Naghavi further assessed the recent Geneva talks on Irans civilian nuclear work as positive, expressing optimism that the same atmosphere would prevail in the upcoming talks.
The top legislator, added that Iranian lawmakers have asked some members of Irans negotiating team to brief them on the content of the talks.
Iran's chief nuclear negotiator in the Geneva talks, Abbas Araqchi, reiterated on Sunday that Tehrans objective in the talks is to safeguard our nuclear rights, both [uranium] enrichment and production, and that the other side be assured our use of nuclear energy is peaceful and, in return, the sanctions be entirely lifted.
Araqchi made the comments while briefing the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee on the two-day discussions between Iran and the six powers -- the US, Britain, France, China, Russia and Germany -- in Geneva on October 15-16.
On the first day of the closed-door negotiations, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif presented Tehrans new proposal titled Closing an Unnecessary Crisis, Opening a New Horizon. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the negotiations.
Araqchi further told the Majlis body that the Islamic Republic has not made any commitments during the Geneva talks, stressing, We will never negotiate the red lines of the [Islamic] establishment.
Tehran and the six powers have agreed to meet again in Geneva on November 7-8. Sanctions and nuclear experts of the two sides will meet before the next round of talks.
