Pakistan MP praises Rouhani UN speech

Islamabad, Sept 26, IRNA Pakistani Member of Parliament (MP) on Thursday termed as wise the speech of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani at the United Nations General Assembly and said that Iran has always pursued the path of peace to resolve issues with West.
Talking to IRNA, Senator Kamil Ali Agha of Pakistan Muslim League-Q said that international community must cooperate with Iran to implement the suggestions of the Iranian President to eliminate extremism form the world.

President Rohani has delivered a speech at the 68th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The Iranian President presented a clear picture of the current situation in the Middle East and the world, and gave his proposed solutions for coming out of the current international deadlock, he added.

Kamil lauded the Iranian Presidents positive approach and added that though Iran is ready to settle issues with West peacefully, Washington and some western countries are pursuing aggressive approach towards Iran.

He said that the statement of President Obama that US would protect the Zionist regime at all costs reflects the US aggressive approach.

The lawmaker went on to say that western reservations on Irans peaceful nuclear program are unjustified.

The political leader said that Iranian President has clarified at the UN forum that Iran is not after nuclear weapons, urging the West to change its approach towards the Iranian nation and respect its peaceful enrichment right.

Iran is fully cooperating with the IAEA and is ready for the inspection of its nuclear installations, said the lawmaker, stressing that the US and its allies must respond positively to the Iranian cooperation in this regards.

Kamil added that diplomacy is the only solution to all issues while military approach cannot settle any dispute.

The Senator said that US is convinced that the crisis in Syria cannot be resolved by military strike, stressing that he believed that western powers were responsible for creating unrest in Syria.

He reiterated that President Rohani has rightly hit out at Americas use of drones. The lawmaker said that the drones are counterproductive and sheer violation of sovereignty of independent states.

Referring to drone attacks as violation of the UN charter, he said drone attacks on innocent people should be stopped.

Iran is an important country and is ready to enhance cooperation with all world states.
