Tehran, Sept 24, IRNA Iranian femae athlete Maryam Tousi who specializes in the 200 meter race, won a gold medal in the womens 100m race in 2013 Islamic Solidarity Games.
Tousi scored the success after finshing the 100 meter race in 11.67 seconds, setting a new record for Iran.
So far, Kayvan Qanbarzadeh in the high jump and Maryam Tousi and Reza Qassemi in the 100-meter fields won gold medals.
The 3rd Islamic Solidarity Games opened in the Indonesian city of Palembang on September 22, and will end on October 1.
A total of 88 athletes are representing Iran in the competitions. Athletes from 55 countries are competing in 13 events including archery, badminton, basketball, beach volleyball, football, karate, swimming, taekwondo, tennis, volleyball, weightlifting and wushu.
