Bishkek, Sept 12, IRNA President Hassan Rohani conferred with his Kyrgyz counterpart Almazbek Atambayev on the sidelines of the 13th Shanghai Cooperation Organization Thursday.
In addition to Tehran-Bishkek bilateral ties, they discussed major regional and international issues.
Stressing the need to further boost Iran-Kyrgyzstan relations, the two presidents explored avenues for promoting mutual collaboration.
After the meeting, Rohani is also scheduled to talk with Kazakh counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Earlier, he held talks with the Chinese President Xi Jinping.
He is scheduled to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin during his two-day stay in Bishkek.
SCO is an international alliance that consists of six member states and five observers from Eurasia. It was established on 26 April 1996 as Shanghai Five.
Presidents of Russian, China, Iran, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and Mongolia are participating in the Summit of Leaders.
