TEHRAN (ISNA)- Managing-Director of the National Iranian Offshore Oil Company (NIOOC) Mahmoud Zirakchianzadeh said the country is ready for gas export to Persia Gulf states, including the UAE and Oman, as specifying the gas export path to the region.
"The company is ready to sell gas to any Iranian and foreign company which wants to generate power for 25-30 years either for internal use or for export," Zirakchian said.
He also said Siri Island, located in southern Persian Gulf, would be changed to Persian Gulf gas hub, in the near future.
According to Zirakchian, Siri Island as well as the UAE Sharja and Jabal Ali islands have been connected by 900-km pipeline which is changing Siri to the region's gas hub.
The Iranian oil official added that Siri Island is in a very good condition for gas export to Persian Gulf.
