Italian traders impatiently waiting to return to Iran market

Tehran, Sept 10, IRNA Italian Ambassador to Tehran Luca Giansanti said following the recent presidential elections in Iran, his countrys businessmen are impatiently waiting to return to the Iranian market.
In an exclusive interview with IRNA, he said the election delivered very positive and constructive message to the world, adding that his country, too, has already received the message.

He said the presence of a ranking Italian delegation in Tehran only two days after the swearing-in ceremony of the new Iranian President indicates the positive attitude of his government towards the grave changes taking place in Iran.

He believed Europe has to respond positively to these signs of change.

Noting that the Italian delegation delivered the message of prime minister to President Hassan Rohani, Giansanti stressed that Italian businessmen and traders are looking forward to making their presence in the Iranian market once again.

He stressed that despite the imposed sanctions on Iran, Italy still continues its exports to Iran.

Giansanti highlighted the strong positive will now existing in Europe to take measures to help tackle the Iranian nuclear issue which could in itself result in lifting the sanctions and bolstering ties.

He also believed in the high capabilities of the new Iranian government in solving the nuclear issue and expressed his countrys support for continuation of talks between Iran and 5+1.

Commenting on the situation in Syria, he stressed the role of Iran in settling the Syrian crisis and said no military action is to be taken place against the country before the final results of the Untied Nations investigations are announced.
