NasimLeader of Iraqs Jaysh Al-Mukhtar (Al-Mukhtar army) Sheikh Wathiq al-Battat has vowed to blow a heavy deal on Washingtons interests in Iraq and Persian Gulf region if it commits such a stupid act to attack Syria militarily, saying that the US and the Israeli regime will be the main losers of any possible attack on Syria.The Iraqi leader has warned the US and its allies of the grave consequences of military intervention in Syria, saying that his group enjoys 23,000 fully-trained and equipped martyrdom-seeking forces who can blow the US interests in Iraq and the Persian Gulf at any time if the US commits such a stupid act.
Taking into account the Islamic and Arab awakening movements as well as the (regional) nations transparent stance on their confrontation against any possible US military strike on Syria, the United States and the Zionist regime will be definitely defeated if they open war on Syria, he went on to say.
In a recent comment, Iraqi Parliament Speaker Osama Nujaifi said on Sunday that all political groups in his country are opposed to a military strike on the Muslim country.
We have come to an agreement with all political leaders in Iraq to oppose any military attack against Syria, Nujaifi told reporters in Baghdad.
The US has mounted rhetoric of military action against Syria after August 21 allegations that the Syrian government has staged a chemical weapons attack against civilians in suburbs of Damascus.
Damascus has vehemently denied the accusations, saying the chemical attack was carried out by the militants themselves as a false flag operation.
