TEHRAN (Tasnim) A group of Iranian lawmakers are due to travel to Slovenian capital city, Ljubljana, next Monday, the groups head said Sunday.
The Iranian legialators are scheduled to meet with the heads of different commissions of the Slovenian parliament as well as Iran-Slovenia parliamentary friendship group, Head of the Iranian Parliament Friendship Group Vahid Ahmadi told Tasnim.
He said that this is the first visit of an Iranian parliamentary delegation to Slovenia, expressing the hope that the visit would bear good results for the Iranian nation.
Republic of Slovenia is a nation state in southern Central Europe at the crossroads of main European cultural and trade routes.
It borders Italy to the west, Austria to the north, Croatia to the south and southeast and Hungary to the northeast.
It covers 20,273 square kilometers and has a population of 2.05 million. It is a parliamentary republic and a member of the European Union and NATO. Its capital and largest city is Ljubljana.
