Tehran, Sept 1, IRNA - Iran Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said no Iranian naval fleet is present in the coastal waters of Syria and the Mediterranean Sea.
Sayyari made the remarks during a press briefing on the objectives of the first national conference on new naval Technologies to be held soon.
Asked about the dispatch of Iranian naval fleets to Syrian coastal waters in the case of any possible US attack, he said the Navy has so far received no order to dispatch naval forces to the region.
Referring to the recent achievement of the Iranian Navy, he said the Lavan warship has been overhauled and will join the naval fleet in near future.
