Tehran, Aug 26, IRNA � President Hassan Rohani in a message on Monday congratulated Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe on his reelection to the post.
In his message, President Rohani described Mugabes reelection in the recent presidential election in Zimbabwe as a sign of confidence and support of the great nation of the country for him and his governments plans.

The president expressed pleasure with growing relations between the two countries, stressing the need for expansion of bilateral ties in all areas, with regard to the formation of a new government in Iran.

He wished success for President Mugabe during his new term of office.

Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe, Africas oldest leader at 89, who has ruled since independence from Britain in 1980, took the oath of office on August 22.
