Tehran, Aug 15, IRNA - Indias Ambassador to Tehran Serio Stava expressed hope Thursday that New Delhi and Tehran could further enhance relations during President Hassan Rohanis tenure.
Speaking to IRNA on the sidelines of a ceremony to mark Indias Independence Day here, Stava said he was confident that Tehran-New Delhi cooperation would be further promoted during the term of President Rohani.

The Indian envoy stressed that Iranian people high turnout in the presidential election has surprised India, adding the move has indicated peoples support for endeavors made by Iranian authorities.

President Rohani won Irans 11th presidential election by securing over 18 million of votes in June.
