The Iran Project : Iran stays in touch with Russia about the consultations that Moscow and Washington have held over Tehran’s nuclear program, the spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry said.

According to The Iran Project, Asked about the reports of talks between Russia and the US on Iran’s nuclear program, Esmaeil Baqaei said at a press conference on Monday that this specific topic has been mooted in contacts with Russia.
“We are in touch with Russia over various subjects and continuous consultations between us are in progress,” he said, noting that Iran’s nuclear program is also one of the topics discussed with Russia as a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.
The spokesman stated that Iran will definitely maintain consultations with Russia about its contacts with the US about Tehran’s nuclear program.
Asked about the US officials’ comments against Iran’s nuclear activities, Baqaei said Iran would seriously uphold its rights in accordance with the NPT and the Safeguards Agreement.
He also advised Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Rafael Grossi to act within the scope of the UN nuclear agency’s duties and make technical comments alone.
The spokesman noted that political remarks by Grossi will not be helpful at all.
