Shaker Aamer, the last British resident in the United States infamous Guantanamo Bay prison in Cuba, says prison guards have been sexually assaulting him.They flip me over for the search. There is meant to be a board, like a wooden stretcher, and they are meant to roll me on. But now they dont have them. Now they carry me like a sack of potatoes, which is really painful for me, he added.
Aamer has been locked up in the notorious detention center for 11 years despite never having been charged with any offence.
The 46-year-old Briton is currently on hunger strike in protest against the appalling conditions he and his fellow inmates are subjected to, as well as the US troops mistreatment of The Holy Quran at the illegal detention center.
The hunger striking inmates are being force-fed through nasal tubes, a practice several human rights groups have described as torturous. Prison authorities have refused to halt the force-feeding of prisoners even during the holy Muslim month of Ramadan.
