Syria blames US for Israel’s attack on Iranian consulate
"Iran's consulate building is located in a densely populated area with full of civilians, and it is only a few kilometers away from other foreign diplomatic missions, and international organizations, including the World Food Program," Aldahhak briefed the 15-member council.
He added that the "brutal assault" resulted in the destruction of the entire building as well as deaths and injuries of the people inside.
Aldahhak continued that the attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus was "another part of a series of Israeli attacks against Syria as the Zionist regime has launched several missile attacks on Syria's two main airports in Damascus and the northern city of Aleppo since October 7.
Israel's attacks cannot dissuade us from our decisive and national stance on the support of the rights of the Palestinian people and the return of the occupied Golan Heights, the Syrian ambassador emphasized.
He blamed the United States for Israel’s nefarious activities: America's support for Israel's occupation has enabled the regime to commit the most terrible crimes, the latest of which is the genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
