TEHRAN (FNA)- A suicide bomber killed eight Kurdish police in Northern Iraq on Sunday, a district official and a medic said.
The bomber blew up a car beside a three-vehicle police convoy in the town of Tuz Khurmatu, also wounding nine officers, district official Shahal Abdul said, Voice of Russia reported.
A medic confirmed the toll.
The town forms part of a swathe of territory that the Kurds want to incorporate into their autonomous region in the North over the opposition of the Baghdad government in what diplomats say is one of the most destabilizing disputes facing Iraq.
