The Iran Project : The 11th meeting of a joint border trade committee between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan kicked off on Tuesday in Chabahar, in southeastern Iran.
According to The Iran Project,Head of Industry, Mine, and Trade Department of Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan Province Iraj Hassanpour will lead the Iranian delegation in the two-day meeting with the Pakistani delegation led by chief of Balochistan's Customs Office Abdul Qadir Memon.
The meeting aims to boost commercial exchanges to speed up transportation and facilitate customs affairs between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan.
Iran and Pakistan have held 10 rounds of border trade committee meetings to boost their trade relations.
The two countries seek to raise their annual trade value to $5 billion.
Abdul Qadir Memon said in the meeting with Iranian officials in Chabahar that the two sides will try to reduce cargo transit and transportation costs for businesses during the joint meeting.
