According to The Iran Project,In a message to head of the Political Bureau of Hamas Ismail Haniyeh on Wednesday, President Raisi extended his condolences over the martyrdom of senior Hamas official Saleh al-Aruri.

Raisi highlighted that undoubtedly, the terrorist crime of the provisional Zionist regime in targetting one of the leaders and commanders of the Resistance outside the geographical area of Palestine and repeating the violation of the territorial integrity of the regional countries by the usurping regime is a clear sign of the inability, helplessness and disgraceful failure of Zionists against the historical Operation Al-Aqsa Storm and the heroic resistance of the Palestinian nation in Gaza Strip and West Bank over the past three months against the brutal killing machine of the child-killing Zionist regime.

The blood of this noble martyr, alongwith the blood of other martyrs of the Resistance and the oppressed Palestinians will make the robust tree of Resistance more fruitful which will soon lead to the final victory of Palestine in the current war and ultimately the celebration of the liberation of the holy land of Palestine from the claws of the Zionist occupation, he underlined.

Al-Aruri was martyred as a result of an explosion in a building in al-Musharrafieh district in southern Beirut, Lebanon on January 2, 2024.

Later, Hamas confirmed that al-Aruri was killed in Israel’s terrorist attack, which also killed several of his companions.
