The Iran Project : Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ali Bagheri Kani has said the United States considers its own interests as the only benchmark for “the legitimacy of international relations".
According to The Iran Project,Addressing a symposium of the Iranian and Chinese think tanks on Saturday, Bagheri Kani said strengthening Iran-China cooperation within non-Western international organizations such as BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) can fortify the ties between the two nations.
The conference is underway in Tehran with a focus on the evolving world order, and the latest developments in West Asia and the Persian Gulf region. More than two dozen senior executives and researchers from prominent Chinese think tanks are participating in the two-day event.
Bagheri Kani said the key concepts of “wisdom, dignity, and expediency” in the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic form the foundation for strengthening relations between China and Iran.
Li Wentang, chief education officer of the Central Party School of the Chinese Communist Party, highlighted the historical relations between China and Iran across various dimensions.
He said that, amidst the current global transformation, Iran and China must deepen their cooperation in bilateral, regional, and international fields to effectively confront unprecedented challenges.
Li called on the two nations to expand their interactions in the face of evolving global dynamics.
