KP Govt, Iran agree to enhance cooperation in education, health sectors

PESHAWAR: The government of Khyber Pakthunkhwaand Iran here Tuesday agreed to enhance cooperation in different sectors including Education, Health and Tourism and exchange of delegations for benefits of people of both countries.
This was agreed during a meeting between Khyber Pakthtunkhwagovernment spokesman and Health Minister Shaukat Ali Yousfzai and Counsel General of Iran at Peshawar, Hasan Darwaish Wand here Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the health Minister Shaukat Ali Yousafzai said mutual cooperation in different sectors would make positive and far reaching effects and will bring people of both the countries more closer.

Shaukat Yousafzai said KP government was ready to extend cooperation with Iran in any field, adding that geographically we are located in a region which necessitated mutual progress and development for benefits of both the countries.

Its part of the Pakistan Tarhik-e-Insaf menfistio to have friendly and brotherly relations with neighbouring countries and it was earnest desire to promote peace and harmony in the region by promoting bilateral relations, he said.

The KP Minister claimed that for the first time a government having solid programmes of development have come at the helm of affairs in the province which is very much serious and sincere in the welfare of the poor segment of the society.

He said it was unfortunate that in the past big claims were made by the successive regimes but in particle nothing was done to improve the lot of have not.

The PTI government came into power in KP with a slogan of change and it will certainly materialize whatever promises it made with people in elections, he added.

Yousafzai said working groups in various sectors have been formed to reforms the social sectors with main focus establishing in exemplary and corruption free Govt. The working groups would submit their final recommendations by July 25 next to the government.

The Minister said peace was vital for development of the region as without it we cannot progress, he added that we are concentrating on this matter to achieve the desired goals.

To make Local Bodies institution administratively and financially independent, he said, the powers of the local bodies institutions are being dissolved at lower tiers.

To eradicate corruption, he said E- Governance system would be introduced for effective management.
