According to The Iran Project, The 18th edition of the Tehran Auction for Iranian contemporary art was held online for the first time on December 21-24.
114 contemporary artworks went under the hammer at the 18thth Tehran Auction, grossing over 61 billion tomans.
The works of the 18th edition of "Tehran Auction" were showcased in the Agora building in the capital city where the best of Iranian artworks were introduced and sold to art collectors.
The event was held from 21st to 24th December and it has ended on the Friday evening, December 24, while earning 61 billion and 776 million tomans.
It should be noted that in this event, 2 works were not sold.
The first of its kind in Iran, the auction was launched in 2012 as an independent and private initiative to introduce the best in Iranian art, ranging from established and emerging Iranian artists to art collectors and the global audience,
The event is aimed at addressing the increasing interest in modern and contemporary Iranian art and facilitating the acquisition of quality works in reliable ways.
