According to The Iran Project,In a meeting with Prime Minister of Syria Hussein Arnous, held in Tehran on Saturday, the Iranian president said the Palestinian nation will emerge victorious in the same way that the Syrian, Iraqi, Yemeni and Lebanese nations defeated the US and its allies.

He said the Al-Aqsa Storm operation has extended the boundaries of the resistance system from the region to the entire world.

Raisi also noted that the US and the Zionist regime’s enmity towards Syria results from the Syrian government and nation’s resistance and their success in destroying the terrorist and Takfiri currents created by the US.

The Palestinian resistance, which has no navy or air force, has relied on its faith and humiliated the Zionists and their main sponsor, namely the US, he added.

The Israeli regime has achieved none of its objectives during the past two months, has only massacred defenseless women and children, and would have fallen apart if the US had not provided military, financial, security and intelligence support for Tel Aviv, the president added.

He then pointed to the strategic and deep-rooted relations between Tehran and Damascus, saying a considerable number of bilateral agreements have been implemented.

Raisi also highlighted the capacities for the promotion of cooperation between Iran and Syria in various fields.

For his part, Arnous described the Iranian president’s visit to Syria in May as a milestone in the historical and strategic ties between the two nations.

The Syrian prime minister stated that the visit resulted in several agreements in the financial, banking, energy, trade and tourism sectors, which indicate the two countries’ determination to broaden relations.
