The 27th edition of the Iran International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition named Iran Oil Show was inaugurated in Tehran on Wednesday, the Shana News Agency affiliated to the Iranian Oil Ministry reported.
The event was opened with the participation of Iran's First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber, Oil Minister Javad Owji and Science, Research and Technology Minister Mohammad-Ali Zolfigol as well as Syrian Oil Minister Firas Hassan Kaddour.
Accordingly, international prominent oil companies have taken part in this edition of the Iran International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition.
Some 1,500 domestic companies showcase their latest achievements in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries.
There are also 200 foreign companies from 13 countries, namely Russia, China, Belarus, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Spain, India, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Oman and Turkey, displaying their latest achievements.
Senior managers and directors of main domestic companies and activists in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries attended the inauguration ceremony.
The exhibition will run through Saturday, May 20.
The 4-day event aims at the promotion of the oil and gas industry in Iran and displays the latest technological developments in the industry.
Also, the transfer of technological know-how into the country is the focal point of the oil show.
