Issuing a statement on Monday, the Iranian embassy in Ukraine called on Iranian nationals to leave the Transnistria region of Moldova.

Due to the ongoing war in Ukraine and the possibility of its spread to the Trans-Dniester region of the Republic of Moldova, all Iranian citizens living in the region are requested to leave the region as soon as possible, the statement read.

Iran also called on the Iranian nationals residing in Moldova to leave the country if their presence in the country is not necessary.
