Iraq has opened a conference aimed at easing tensions in the region, with the participation of heads and officials of regional countries, including Iran and representatives from other countries.

Iranian new Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian arrived in Baghdad on Saturday at the head of a delegation to attend the Baghdad International Conference "For Cooperation and Participation."
