Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on Saturday to hold talks with its senior officials on various issues, including bilateral relations.
Upon his arrival there, Zarif said that atthe endof his trip tofivecountriesin theregion, he is visitingthe Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic todiscusstransitfacilitiesandcooperationconditionsinthe region in the wake of the Nagorno-KarabakhWar.
He expressed hope that regionalcooperation will make it possibleforthe IslamicRepublic of Iran and otherregional countriestocooperate in such areas as transit in a bid to materialize sustainablepeaceinthe region.
The Iranian foreign minister visited the Republic of Azerbaijan, Russia, Armenia, and Georgia, discussing the latest developments in the Caucasus region as well as mutual ties with officials of the respectivecountries.
