IRNA � Speaker of National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic in a message congratulated Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf on his election as Iran's parliament speaker and stressed the need for promoting friendly relations between the two countries.






"Please, accept my sincere congratulations on your election as parliament�speaker. I am sure that our traditional friendly relations will be further developed during your mission," the message read.

Given the strong potential of Serbia-Iran parliamentary cooperation and the increasing role of the parliamentary system in the world, the parliaments will play a crucial role in promoting bilateral ties, she said.
