SHANA � Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said, "Iran and Finland have great potential for developing economic and trade relations, investing in oil and energy, agriculture and technology, and we must make the most of these capacities."

According to President.ir, Dr. Hassan Rouhani, in a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Finland, Sauli Niinist�, pointed out that the UN Security Council Resolution 2231 has approved the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as the Iran nuclear deal.

He said the US move to withdraw from the JCPOA was contrary to Security Council resolutions and contrary to international law, political conventions and all moral obligations.

"Unfortunately, the Americans did not show any goodwill at any stage and even continued to impose illegal sanctions and increase economic pressure on the Iranian people, contrary to human rights and principles," he said. �This will not be in their interest to take this path, and disrupting the JCPOA is to the detriment of everyone.�

He described the Iran-Finland bilateral relations as friendly, and said that the two countries have great potential for developing economic and trade relations, investing in oil and energy, agriculture and technology, and that these capacities should be used to the maximum.
