Financial Tribune - The growth in overall Consumer Price Index in the 10th month of the current Iranian year (Dec. 22, 2019-Jan. 20) was the highest (1.5%) in Hormozgan Province when compared with the month before.
This comes as, according to data released by the Statistical Center of Iran, Ilam Province posted month-on-month deflation of 0.5% last month.
The overall CPI, using the Iranian year to March 2017 as the base year, stood at 195.4 in the same month, indicating a 0.8% rise compared with the previous month.
Hormozgan Provinces goods and services consumer inflation registered a rise of 32.3% during the month ending Jan. 20 compared with the similar month of last year, the highest among all provinces. The year-on-year CPI increase was the lowest for Kurdestan Province with 20.9%, compared with that of other Iranian provinces.
