Tehran stocks climb 0.5%

Financial Tribune - The main gauge of Tehran Stock Exchange TEDPIX gained 2,090.46 points, or 0.57%, on Sunday to end trading at 369,722.6.

About 5.98 billion shares valued at 34.22 trillion rials ($264.26 million) changed hands at TSE for the day.

Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

AMA Industrial Company (welding electrodes manufacturer) was the biggest winner as its shares went up 8.23% to 12,469 rials per share.

Esfahan Sugar Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 4.55% to 43,112 rials per share.

Pars Petrochemical Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Omid Investment Management Group Company, Bank Saderat Iran and Tehran Oil Refining Company.

Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Mobarakeh Steel Company, Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company and Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines Company.

IFX Up 1.03%

Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 48.99 points, or 1 %, to close Sunday trade at 4,823.22.

About 1.89 billion securities valued at 14.96 trillion rials ($115.59 million) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

Goharzamin Iron Ore Company, Esfahan Steel Company, Shiraz Oil Refining Company and Zagros petrochemical Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

Marun Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Iran Office Machines Industries Company, Kowsar Insurance Company and Jahrom Power Plant Development Company.
