Press TV faces ban for truthfulness: Analyst

The Iranian news channelPress TVis facing constant bans due to its efforts to shed light on realities and create unity among people around the world in defiance of the global Zionist dominance, a human rights activist says.
It (Press TV) tells the truth in a wicked cynical capitalistic Zionist-fueled world that thrives off of war and division and hatred and racism, said Randy Short in a Monday interview withPress TV.

He pointed to Press TVs coverage of the Syrian crisis and other global developments against the backdrop of distorted reports by the mainstream media and said, Press TV has done a human service, a humanitarian service thats completely underestimated versus the other media that are celebrating the destruction of over 90,000 Syrian lives.

And in addition, Press TV is bringing about unity among Muslims.... Its unifying and bringing people together, Short noted.
Thats why theyre afraid of what Press TV does. It lifts up humanity; it shows the decency and integrity of real Islam and of what the Islamic Republic of Iran has to offer the world, the analyst pointed out.
Press TV and other Iranian channels have come under an unprecedented wave of attacks by European governments and satellite companies since January 2012. They have been taken off the air in several Western countries, including Britain, France, Germany and Spain.

European satellite companies say they are complying with the anti-Iran sanctions. However, Michael Mann, a spokesman for the EU foreign policy chief, has told Press TV that the sanctions do not apply to Iranian media.

Michel de Rosen, the French-Israeli CEO of Europe's satellite giant, Eutelsat, has written letters to several satellite companies, asking them to stop cooperating with Iranian channels.

The Israeli lobby in the United States has also publicly supported European attempts to shut down Press TV.
