President.ir - President spoke with the Governor-General of East Azerbaijan Province early on Friday, and was briefed by him on the latest news on last night�s earthquake in the province.


In the phone call that was made a few hours after the earthquake, Dr Hassan Rouhani issued the necessary orders for assessing the needs of people in these areas, as well as treating the injured.

The president said that all facilities must be mobilised for delivering effective relief to the quake-hit areas.

Governor-General of East Azerbaijan Province Dr Pourmohammadi delivered a report on the measures taken to estimate the damages made and deliver aid to the people in these areas.
