IRNA - Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in two separate messages highlighted wide-scale war crimes perpetrated by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen enjoying logistical support from the US, saying that ending the war is the only solution to the humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
"US is in denial if it thinks that Yemeni victims of 4.5 yrs of the worst war crimes wouldn't do all to strike back," Zarif wrote in his Twitter account.
He added: "Perhaps it's embarrassed that $100s of billions of its arms didn't intercept Yemeni fire."
"But blaming Iran won't change that," he noted adding: "Ending the war=only solution for all."
Meanwhile in another message, Zarif said: "Just imagine: The US isnt upset when its allies mercilessly BOMB babies in Yemen for over 4 yearswith its arms and its military assistance."
"But it is terribly upset when the victims react the only way they canagainst the aggressor's OIL refineries," he reiterated.
The United Nations Security Council adopted Resolution 2451 to support the Stockholm Agreement on deployment of a team in order to facilitate monitoring and implementing the Agreement and installing truce in important Yemeni ports.
The resolution mainly focuses on sending essential commodities to the Yemeni people, supporting the Stockholm Agreement, assigning the Secretary-General of the United Nations to implement it and observing the ceasefire.
The fourth round of Yemen peace talks kicked off in Stockholm, Sweden on December 6 with the attendance of the UN and the government representatives. It agreed to install truce in Yemeni ports of al-Hudaydah, al-Salif and Ayn Issa.
Saudi Arabia and its regional allies attacked Yemen in March 2015 to bring back to power the deposed president of Yemen Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi.
