Financial Tribune - Iranian steel mills produced a total of 10.62 million tons of crude steel during the first five months of 2019, up 5.5% compared with 2018�s corresponding period, the latest report released by the World Steel Association shows.

Iran�s May output grew 3.8% year-on-year to hit 2.23 million tons, according to the Brussels-based international trade body for the iron and steel industry.

Iran�s world ranking remains unchanged as the world�s 10th biggest crude steel producer. The country is placed between Brazil (ninth) with 14.02 million tons and Italy (11th) with 10.47 million tons, the new report shows.
