Financial Tribune - Iran-Germany Chamber of Industry and Commerce has signed an agreement with Tehran-based IT Guild Organization to help develop information and communication technologies.
During a meeting held on Sunday, Hossein Sarafraz, the deputy head of the joint chamber, Ali Azarkar, secretary of IT Guild Organization, and Kamran Khoshi, a member of the organization's E-Commerce Commission, discussed ways of promoting collaboration and investment in Iran's startup ecosystem and ICT field.
Considering the two country's willingness to enhance commercial relations in the field of ICT, a wide-ranging agreement was signed to facilitate collaborative activities, the chamber's website, Iran.ahk.de, reported.
The agreement calls for holding joint seminars aimed at developing their ICT markets, promoting exchange of experiences, hosting joint technology exhibitions in both countries, boosting startup ecosystems, introducing investment opportunities and developing infrastructures for emerging technology firms and startups.
In addition, the two sides also agreed to form joint working groups in the field of ICT and hold training courses at senior managers' level in IT companies.
Supporting the startup ecosystem and fledgling tech firms has been a priority of President Hassan Rouhani since he begand his first tenure in 2013.
