IRNA Cuban President Miguel Daz-Canel described on Saturday Havana-Tehran relations as positive and growing.
President Daz-Canel made the remarks in a meeting with Iran's new Ambassador to Cuba Rashid Bayat Mokhtari presenting his credentials.
The Cuban president said that Havana Government is willing to promote ties with Iran.
The new Iranian ambassador said that he would make effort to enhance all-out cooperation with Cuba during his tenure.
On May 9, spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry Abbas Mousavi expressed the Islamic Republic of Iran's support for the Cuban nation and government and called on the sovereign states to take effective measure to deal with the US repeated violation of international law.
Mousavi condemned the US anti-Cuban policies particularly the one focused on the lifting of waivers on Title III of the 1996 Helms-Burton Act that specifies protection of property rights of the US nationals.
