IRNA Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman expressed condolences to Russia over the plane crash which claimed the lives of at least 41 people.
In a message released on Monday, Abbas Mousavi sympathized with the people and government of Russia as well as the bereaved families of the victims.
The Iranian official also wished health and recovery for the injured.
Russia's transportation minister said Monday that 41 bodies have been recovered from the burned wreckage of an Aeroflot plane at Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport, dispatches reported.
Yevgeny Dietrich also told reporters six of the people who survived the disaster Sunday night have been hospitalized in serious condition. He said 33 passengers and four crew members survived in all. There were 78 people on board.
The plane was on fire while making an emergency landing at the airport after turning back for unspecified reasons during a flight to Murmansk.
