SHANA -- The 24th Iran International Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Exhibition (Iran Oil Show) began in the permanent fairgrounds of the Iranian capital, Tehran.

The 4-day event aims at promotion of the oil and gas industry in Iran and displays the latest technological developments in the industry.

Over 1,000 stands are being run at the showcase by Iranian and foreign exhibitors from 21 countries.

On Thursday, the second day of the showcase, OPEC Secretary General Mohammad Barkindo is scheduled to visit the fair and address a press conference.
