Mohammad Reza Pour-Ebrahimi who is currently in China to attend the second Belt and Road Forum told IRNA in Beijing that good agreements on investment within the framework of Belt-Road Initiative were reached on the sidelines of the meeting.
Chinas second Belt and Road Forum started on Thursday. The three-day forum is meant to promote Chinese leader Xi Jinpings 'project of the century', a foreign policy initiative launched in 2013 to revive ancient trading routes between Asia and Europe, as well as to build new links in the Middle East, Africa, and South America.
Delegations from 110 countries are taking part in the conference. Iran is also represented by its Economy Minister Farhad Dejpasand, Head of the Inspectorate Organization of Iran Nasser Seraj as well as former lawmaker Qolam Ali Haddad Adel.
Pour-Ebrahimi further noted that China has taken into account a number of countries, including Iran, for investment in the fields of energy, railroad and infrastructures on the basis of a time table within the initiative.
The idea of belt-road has created numerous capacities for investment by China in the countries on the route of the initiative, he said, noting that presence of the Iranian representatives in the forum was very significant.
The investments not only leave positive impacts on Irans economic activities, but also will help China in the field of the missions it has considered to undertake within the framework of Belt-Road Initiative.
