Pakistani PM Iran visit vital for bilateral ties: official

IRNA - A former Pakistani ambassador has said that Prime Minister Imran Khans upcoming visit to Iran is extremely vital to strengthen ties between the two friendly neighboring states, state media reported.

Fauzia Nasreen, former Pakistani ambassador to Poland and Nepal in her views said that it is good that the government is focusing to improve trade relations with Iran.

She added the foreign policy of Pakistani incumbent government is heading in right direction.

The visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan to China and Iran will be vital for strengthening our relations with these countries. China and Iran are our neighboring countries, she said.

The analyst said border management issues will be discussed with Iran that will result in improvement in the regional situation.

Earlier Fauzia Nasreen talking to IRNA had suggested Prime Minister Imran Khan to embark on a visit to Iran which would have a positive impact on the region.

She said Iran is an important country of the region and stronger ties with Iran will benefit Pakistan.

Pakistan Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mohammad Faisal has told IRNA that Prime Minister will pay an official visit to Iran in near future but the details of the visit would be announced later.
