IRNA - The production capacity for construction of the equipment of the main refineries packages increased significantly and a new record for self-sufficiency in the production of heavy pumps and vertical and horizontal centrifuge pumps was obtained.

Deputy Energy Minister of the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization (IDRO) Hamid Bazarganan added:' Domestically- production in other main refineries packages has also reached the progress of 40 to 80 percent.

Referring to the experience of IDRO in contracting and constructing six different phases of the South Pars, the policies of the oil and energy sector of the country to allot large oil projects to domestic contractors, especially in recent years, have been the main source of engineers' empowerment and domestic complexes, as well as widespread employment creation.

He pointed to 84 percent progress in 14 phases of South Pars project, and highlighted, 'Now, the IDRO and other Iranian companies in the consortium have been so capable of implementing energy projects in the absence of foreign companies based on internal capacity and the rate of progress that is very good, despite the international sanctions.�
