Global Times: Iran-China-Russia media cooperation needed
IRNA The editor-in-chief of China's Global Times Hu Xinjing on Wednesday underlined the joint campaign of Iran, China and Russia against the western media hegemony.

Hu Xinjing made the remarks in a meeting with the Managing Director of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) Chief Zia Hashemi on Wednesday.

He said the western media is busy distorting regional realities. 'To counter the media domination and hegemony of the US and the West, media cooperation among the Islamic Republic of Iran, China and Russia is necessary.'

He said western media is distorting and tarnishing realties of Iran.

The Chinese official noted that contrary to western media controversy, he had during his short presence in Tehran witnessed progress and jubilance of Iranian people despite sanctions.

He further expressed pleasure with the deal signed by IRNA and Global Times for cooperation and said he was impressed by women's activities and role in various managerial and news positions in the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

Hu Xinjing also underlined necessity for bilateral, regional and international cooperation among Iranian and Chinese media, including Global Times and IRNA.

The Chinese media official said IRNA's Chinese service provides an important opportunity to make Chinese people acquainted with Iran's realities, attractions and achievements.
